Crótalo tigre - Parque de Cabárceno

This small venomous snake doesn’t usually measure more than 90 cm, but don’t let its size fool you! Its venom is as potent as that of rattlesnakes, and a bite can cause internal bleeding and tissue damage.

You can find it hidden among low vegetation, in scrublands, mangroves, or even among rocks.

It has a prehensile tail that helps it cling to branches, where it camouflages itself and patiently waits for its next prey to pass by.

s menu includes mice, birds, and, occasionally, a frog. It’s a true ambusher of nature—a silent and cunning hunter!
