Laurel

The bay laurel is a small tree with a straight trunk, smooth, grayish bark, reaching up to 10 m in height, and casting a dense, cool shade. The entire plant contains essential oils that make it aromatic, especially its leaves.

It has applications in medicine, veterinary science, and gastronomy. If overused, it could lead to severe intestinal disorders.
