The most natural environment possible

The Cabárceno Nature Park is neither a conventional zoo nor a traditional natural park. It’s a space naturalized by human hands, drawing from the primitive beauty of its karstic landscape, spanning over 750 hectares of a former open-pit mining operation.

At Cabárceno Nature Park, life unfolds in the most natural environment possible for the animals that inhabit it. Aside from the food they are provided, all other activities are dictated by their almost complete freedom and instinct. Virtually all of them engage in fights and struggles during mating season for control of the females, and of course, beyond the instinct for survival, the rest of their senses are as wild as in their natural habitat.

Currently, due to their immense quality, the facilities at Cabárceno Nature Park are among the best rated by international organizations that monitor animal living conditions.

The Cabárceno Nature Park was designed with educational, cultural, scientific, and recreational purposes in mind, and it has become one of the biggest tourist attractions in northern Spain.

The more than 20 km of roads that crisscross the park will lead us to the different enclosures through wonderful gorges, peaceful lakes, and striking rock formations. Additionally, throughout the park, there are numerous parking areas and paths that allow us to discover exceptionally beautiful spots.

The Cabárceno Nature Park is an ideal place to spend the day with family, as it has numerous recreational areas, picnic spots, viewpoints, botanical routes, cafeterias, restaurants, a children’s playground, and more.

Come and enjoy nature’s grand spectacle! You’ll discover the secrets of the animal, plant, and mineral worlds with numerous activities for the whole family. Your visit to Cabárceno Nature Park will be an unforgettable experience.
