The Children’s Python is primarily distinguished from other pythons by its uniform coloration, which is generally brown on the back, along with the presence of large head scales.
It’s a reptile with essentially nocturnal activity, although in captivity, it hunts its prey during the day.
It reaches sexual maturity at 18 months. Females lay around 12 eggs, which they jealously guard until the moment of hatching. Hatching occurs after 65 days, with the young emerging at approximately 30 cm in length and 7 grams in weight.
