Oak

This tree is considered a symbol of grandeur, strength, and majesty. Centenarians, they possess very solid wood, and their trunks often take on whimsical shapes over the years.

Curiosities

Due to its resistance to humidity, it was a basic material in naval construction and also in railway sleepers. Its fruit is used as fodder for livestock, and its bark and galls as tanning agents.

Its roots have the quality of being able to penetrate up to 1.5 meters deep.

Flowers/Fruit The flowers bloom between April and June, with the male flowers appearing in long, hanging catkins. Its fruit is the acorn.
